AMES - 8" C400 RPA OS&Y LEAD FREE
Ames part C400Y-8 pairs the lead-free 8 inch C400 reduced pressure assembly with OS&Y shutoff valves. It keeps water from fire protection systems and non-potable sources out of the drinking water supply. The housing and closure sleeve are 304 Schedule 40 stainless steel; the sleeve gives quick access to the torsion-spring check modules, whose check disc rubber is replaceable. Test cocks, grooved couplings and a bottom-mounted stainless relief valve are part of the assembly, and Ames rates it for 175 psi.
