AMES - 6" LFC500 RPDA OS&Y GPM
Ames part C500YLF-6 is a 6 inch LFC500 RPDA with OS&Y shutoff valves and a GPM meter. RPDA means reduced pressure detector assembly, the type used on health-hazard connections such as fire sprinkler systems. Ames makes the LFC500 lead-free, with a 304 Schedule 40 stainless body and closure sleeve and stainless internals. It guards against backpressure and backsiphonage even if either check becomes fouled. Working pressure is up to 175 psi, the listing is ASSE 1047, and Ames says the design is about 70 percent lighter than traditional assemblies.
