The 1 inch ARI RP501, part number RP501-1, is a reduced pressure assembly for potable-water service, fitted with composite ball valve shutoffs. ARI builds the RP-500 series around two independent spring-loaded check valves in capsules, with a reduced pressure zone between them that keeps the relief valve working as intended. The body is plastic thermal resin with stainless steel screws and springs, the threads are NPT, and the assembly can be maintained without special tools. ARI lists irrigation, water handling and potable water lines as uses.
