The ARI RP501 is a 2 inch reduced pressure (RPZ) backflow assembly for potable water service, ARI part number RP501-2. It comes with composite ball valve shutoffs and NPT threaded ends.
Inside are two independent, spring-loaded check valves, each in its own capsule, with a relief valve that works off the pressure zone between them. The body is a corrosion-resistant thermal resin with stainless steel screws and springs, and the whole assembly can be serviced without special tools. ARI lists irrigation systems and general water handling among its uses, along with drinking water lines.
